Introducing Box Box: Miami Racing, Car Culture + Tech

By Juha Mikkola – Guest Contributor

We are excited to announce that we are working on a racing, car culture and technology community in Miami called Box Box.

With the first-ever Miami GP taking place in Miami this weekend, interest in racing and motoring culture has never been higher. While interest is at its peak, we realize that traditional car and racing clubs can be daunting, not to mention the cost. Box Box is here to solve this problem. Think of us as an inclusive and accessible SoHo House membership club for car and racing enthusiasts.

Entrance to our club will be by NFT and members will be able to strike this summer.

Racing runs in my family, as my dad was a professional race car driver and my brother drove for many years. When I moved to Miami, I created a What’s App group to bring racing fans together to watch Formula 1 races, go to car shows, drive karts, and recently even race our kids.

What started with two members grew slowly the first few years. Now, with the growth in popularity of F1, thanks to shows like Drive to Survive, our group has over 100 members, including many from the Miami tech community. With Formula 1 coming to town and for the next 10 years, we know it’s time to take the community to the next level.

That’s why we’re starting Box Box, a community car club for people who love cars and racing like us. Our vision will provide our members with access to a fleet of unique vintage and modern cars for members to use. Imagine a brilliant meeting space for coworking, organizing events and showcasing all kinds of experiences related to past, present and future mobility. We’ll also be bringing the group out to watch and support the races in our community – just as we already have almost 100 community members and their families going to the F1 race this weekend!

To fund the initiative, we will be launching an NFT membership, which will be the first of its kind for an automobile club in the world – and again, placing Miami at the epicenter of web3 innovation. NFT members will have access to the club and cars and can vote on cool perks like which cars we buy, which services to add and where to grow next.

We are also looking for great community partners in the field of mobility and NFT, so do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to work with us on this project.

We look forward to seeing you at the race!
