ITV This Morning’s Phillip Schofield drove a miniature racing car to Great Ormond Street Hospital as a ‘theater’ gift

Phillip Schofield has delivered a toy to Great Ormond Street Hospital in the cutest of fashions. The star took to her Instagram Story to share the moment with her three million followers.

Writing “Delivery complete, new toy for services”, the This Morning star shared a photo of himself driving a miniature race car through Great Ormond Street Hospital. The new toy was delivered in conjunction with We Buy Any Car, which Phillip has been a part of for many years.

The car has previously been used in We Buy Any Car commercials and now has vinyl wrap with designs created by hospital staff and patients. It will be used by children in the hospital to dive into appointments, assisted by a team of GOSH Charities play specialists.

Phillip delivered a toy car to the hospital

The delivery came after his co-presenter Josie Gibson revealed what Phillip looked like backstage on the ITV daytime show. According to the Mirror, Josie said: “So Phil, he’s really funny. And we often see ‘the presenter Phil’ and sometimes I wish people saw more ‘the Phil’ because he’s so damn hilarious! He’s also very nice and he is really caring.

“When I had an ear infection he was always checking on me to ask if I was okay – he’s just lovely. Holly Willoughby,” she added, “oh my god what an amazing she’s a cheerleader she is. She’s just effortless. I was in awe of her. But she’s a real girl of girls – and Alison too – and they both helped me. We encourage each other and push each other to do well. But I love Holly, she has really good energy…and funnily enough me, Holly and Alison are all Aquarius women!”

Phillip and Holly have hosted This Morning together since 2009

Holly herself has already opened up to The mirror about his Dancing On Ice co-star: “There’s a real ease when we work together. It’s not like you go, oh we just need to find our feet or our rhythm, it’s is an absolute no-brainer. It’s nice to do something a little different but still together.” Phillip also sang Holly’s praises and said: “I agree. What’s nice is that I get to spend even more time with my best friend.

“It’s lovely and I completely and absolutely adore Holly and so being able to joke together in the morning – and there’s no doubt This Morning is a different kind of show than this, and people may not even like us watch in the morning but they will come to us in the evening. It’s a brilliant show, it’s a great glitzy show, wonderfully produced and beautiful. So yes, it’s nice to have a companion.
