Toyota launches Gazoo Racing Car Club and offers free membership
Reasons to join include an eight cents per liter discount on premium Caltex/Ampol fuels, a free merchandise pack, as well as a three-month subscription to the Kayo sports streaming service.
Toyota says the community aspect will be the main reason to join, however. Exclusive events, including track days with professional drivers and VIP experiences at Australian motorsport events, are just a few of what’s planned.
“We know that our GR owners are enthusiasts, and the formation of the club allows us to give them a deeper experience of the Toyota Gazoo Racing brand,” said John Pappas, Marketing Director of Toyota Australia.
“Whether it’s getting advice from professional drivers on track days to savor the thrill of driving, exclusive access to VIP areas at motorsport events, or getting the inside line on everything When it comes to Gazoo Racing from those who live and breathe the brand, it’s all about celebrating their passion for automotive performance,” he said.
The GR club’s first event is an online webinar, which will be hosted by Australian rally stars Neal, Harry and Lewis Bates later this month. The family run Neal Bates Motorsport – a factory backed team with a long history in rallying, and with Toyota Australia.
The trio are expected to discuss details of their Australian-made GR Yaris rally car during the online forum.
Membership of the GR car club is currently reserved for owners only; however, avid fans can register their interest in joining Toyota Gazoo Racing website.
